Overland Airways Introduces Flight Services From Minna To Lagos and Abuja
Overland Airways has added new scheduled flight services ON THE LOS-MNA-LOS AND ABV-MNA-ABV ROUTE Mondays to Fridays, following its recent introduction of its Katsina - Abuja – Katsina services.
Overland Airways’ main objective, amongst others, is to improve interconnectivity within the country. The new air service, which was introduced on Monday, 16th November 2009, from Minna, Niger State to Lagos and Abuja is currently the only flight service connecting Minna to Lagos and Abuja in the country.
Overland Airways, working in partnership with the Government of Niger State, under the leadership of the Chief Servant, His Excellency, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, is delighted to offer this premium service to the good people of Niger State.
The Chief Operating Officer of Overland Airways, Mrs. Aanu Benson, said at Minna Airport during the inaugural flight, “Today marks (A) historic day for Overland Airways as we extend our services to another state in the country. The introduction of flight services from Minna to Lagos and Abuja is important to us as it will assist business travelers to achieve much more now ESPECIALLY NOW AS WE ARE the only direct link to Lagos and Abuja.
She added, “It is our delight to introduce the Business Flyer service to the good people of Niger State and operate from Minna Airport. Our aim is to proffer solutions to air transport challenges encountered by people in the hinterland.”
The new routes, which have long been anticipated and desired by air travelers will be operated with Overland Airways state-of-the-art B1900D and ATR-42 aircraft, Mondays to Fridays.
Morning flights from Abuja Airport will depart at 8:10am and arrive Minna Airport at 8:30am. Flights from Minna Airport will depart at 9:00am and arrive Lagos Airport at 10:10am while return flights from Lagos Airport to Minna will depart at 1:00pm and arrive Minna Airport at 2:10pm. The afternoon flights from Minna Airport will depart at 2:30pm and arrive Abuja Airport at 2:50pm.
Overland Airways has consistently been expanding its route network and amongst new routes lined up towards the end of 2009 are the Jos and Kano Stations.
